The consultants of HRpepper supported their client, a global energy provider based in Germany, in the establishment of the HR function in a new HR and finance service centre.
The client was engaged in setting up an international HR and finance service centre as an autonomous legal unit as part of a corporate restructuring project. The new service centre was intended to contribute substantially to seizing cost synergies. A supporting HR function was particularly important during its initial setup phase, as new service centre teams needed to be formed by relocating old and recruiting new personnel.
The key task for HRpepper is to accompany the practical establishment of the service centre’s HR function with HR, project, process, and change management and general international knowhow and to assist the transition of the service centre’s workforce into their new functions. This includes general project management, process design, submissions to executive management to aid in the relevant decisions, the production of communication documents such as manuals for managers and FAQs for employees, the preparation of works assemblies, and general advice on the on-going processes of change.
The HR function for the new service centred has been defined and brought to full operational readiness already in its setup phase. The service centre will be able to complete its rollout in the intended timeframe.
